Virus / Malware / Adware / Spyware Removal

It’s happened to all of us – we’ve clicked an interesting popup, or downloaded a ‘free game’, and ended up with an infected computer. Signs of an infected computer can be – advertisements popping up at random intervals, even when you’re not browsing the computer, messages that tell you ‘You have X amount of viruses, pay $YYY to purchase the full version and remove them’, programs shutting down, websites redirecting to advertisement websites – basically anything strange or unusual happening on your PC!

Our price for a full virus and spyware removal is $40. The process for removing viruses and spyware can be quite time consuming, so we will collect your computer and keep the cleaning processes running overnight, to ensure that all of the malware programs are removed. We can provide this service for both computers and laptops.

Computer Dust Removal

Over time, computers build up layers of dust on the insides. Those fans that keep the PC cool, also allow dust to travel into the case and settle on the electronic components, as well as build up on the blades of the fans. All environments will result in dust buildup over time, but those particularly at risk include smokers and those with pets, as the ash and/or pet hair are drawn into the computer case fans along with the dust.

Dust can dramatically increase the running temperature of the computer – an overheating computer can be the cause of random crashes, shutdowns, and slow response times. Overheating computers can also become more noisy, as the internal fans will speed up to try to reduce the temperature. In one case, we reduced a computer’s running temperature from 65°C to 35°C, with only a simple dust removal!

Our price for a dust removal is $50. We will collect your computer and return it to you on the next business day at an arranged time. This service is only available for PC / desktop computers (laptop computers are less susceptible to dust, as there are a lot less places for dust to build up).

Full Reformat

Over time, computers build up many programs running in the background, a significant portion of which you don’t need or don’t use. A full reformat wipes everything off your computer (except your Documents folders), and reinstalls it from scratch to start your computer off with a clean slate. This generally increases boot-up time, running time and responsiveness of your PC.

Our price for a full computer or laptop reformat is $60. We will need to take your computer and keep it running overnight (sometimes two nights) to reinstall your operating system.
